The sound of Pittsburgh. This is a great duet by Tim Stevens and Crystal Wilson. Crystal was female singer of The Lovation. They give us, a classy modern soul ballad along with sax. It was released on Pittsburgh International Records. "Are you the one" was written by Tim Stevens. Arranged by Leonard Johnson III. Produced by Tim Stevens and Gene Stevens. Solo sax by Kenny Blake. This single is not included on the album in 1981 entitled "Got to be free" on the same label.

Jeb Stuart (A.K.A Charles Jones) was born in Memphis June 2, 1945. He released 1st single as Charles Jones on Wing Records in 1956. He released 1st single as Jeb Stuart on Shar Records in 1960. Then he recorded many songs for various labels. Stuart continued into the 70s and 80s on his new Esquire International label. In 1982 Esquire International Records released 7inch entitled "Baby let’s get together tonight / You better belive it baby". From this 7 inch, I chose the single "baby let's get together tonight". Composed by himself. Arranged by Mike Levine, Billy Ross and Jeb Stuart. Stuart’s vocals are brilliant. A southern soul man who deserves much greater recognition.

They don’t understand the value of music and try to take a glory.

I want to thank Mr. Earl Dawkins and Gary (Alex) Alexander of the Entertainers for their interest on my Blog. Also I want to thank Dan Dixon, formerly of.... Mega Sound Studios/Broadcast Records.
Caesar Frazier started playing piano at age five. After hearing the organ stylings of Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, Shirley Scott, Jimmy McGriff and Booker T. Jones of the MG’S, he was forever attracted to the enormous sounds of the Hammond Organ. By age fifteen, Caesar began playing with a variety of R&B, Blues and Jazz bands. However, he was most attracted to the more complex and sophisticated stylings of Jazz.
After graduating from high school, Caesar attended Florida A&M University, earning a degree in music education. Throughout his tenure at Florida A&M, he formed and played in numerous bands, earning money to cover college cost. In 1967,while in college, along with his organ trio, he made appearances on the Ted Mack television show.
After graduating from Florida A& M University, he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana on the advice of a college musician friend, where he would start an organ quartet performing on the very active local music scene and touring the mid-west jazz club circuit.
It was in 1971 that Caesar’s relationship with Lou Donaldson began. A former member of Lou’s band heard Caesar at a Jazz club in Indianapolis and immediately called Lou and told him that he had heard a young organist that he would be interested in bringing into his band. From that introduction began a relationship and bond that would be everlasting.
It was Lou that made the call and connections that would start Caesar’s recording career as a Jazz / Funk organist and vocalist. Over the years, Caesar recorded numerous instrumental and vocal albums.
One of them was in 1978 on Westbound Records entitled “Another Life”. Distributed by Atlantic Recording Corporation. Arranged by Mike Theodore, Caesar Frazier and David Van De Pitte. Produced by Mike Theodore, Caesar Frazier and Bernie Mendelson. From this album I have chosen wonderful track entitled “Just a little bit longer”. Composed by himself.
After leaving Lou’s band, Caesar joined the Marvin Gaye orchestra as keyboardist, touring the mega concert venues.

Magnetic Touch was an obscure soul/funk/disco group from New York. The group collaborated with the great Patrick Adams. Magnetic Touch released a single in 1973 on Cheryl Records entitled “Ain’t gonna be a next time”. This single was included on ultra rare album entitled “Falling in love with a dream” in 1977 on Almeria Records Inc. Afterwards the group returned on Cheryl Records and they released only singles. In 1981 they released a single entitled “Will you stay with me”. It was distributed by Star Vision International Records. It was a surprise for me, when I noticed that Jimmy Dockett helped the group as conductor. At the same time Jimmy Dockett was recording for Star Vision International Records. Produced, arranged and composed by Bobby Taylor.

One more post for Michael. This album was released in 1980 on Epic entitled "Triumph". I chose track entitled "Everybody". Composed by Michael Jackson, Tito Jackson and Mike McKinney. Produced by The Jacksons.
Frank Quintero (Juan Francisco Quintero Mentoza) was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on November 27th, 1952. Frank started his musical career very young. When his father noticed that Frank had a special tuning with the music and the rhythm, gave him his first musical instrument at the age of 10: the drums, which he studied and dominated over the years. He has recorded some albums. One of them is entitled "De noche y con poca luz" in 1980 on CBS Records. I have chosen the killer track "Estas en mi". Composed by himself. Produced by Frank Quintero & Leo Quintero. Solo sax by Ralph Moore.

MY BLOG
Hello my friends. I uploaded this Blog because I love music. To me, music is a way of living. Through this space, I want to promote fine Soul, Funk and Jazz music (rare or not rare). Here you will find outstanding topics so you can enrich your knowledge and be entertained as well. Yet, I would like to complain because some bloggers share entire albums with others whether they have the records or have the tracks from other bloggers. I don’t think it’s fair for some of us to pay in order to buy the records and others to find them free through Blogs. Perhaps it’s not the same when someone owns a record compared to another who has only the tracks. But honestly I want you to answer to one question (not to me but to yourselves). Anyone of you – after a reasonable period of time – is capable of presenting them as their own stuff. Thanks.
For this reason I don’t share my tracks – you can listen to them only.
Also there are many collectors and bloggers who are after rare records without paying any attention on the quality of the tracks.
I would like to thank some special friends and people who helped me a great deal. First and foremost I want to thank my friend Nicolas Drosos who has been always a friend and a brother to me. Also special thanks go to George Polychroniou (G.Poly) a huge collector in Greece. I would like to thank a special gentleman from England for his unconditional help. THANKS JOHN FROM MY HEART.
Note: Some of the tracks related to rare topics on this Blog, are not going to be heard on the whole because they can easily be stolen thanks to today’s technology.
