Freddie Gorman - Love Has Seen Us Through / Alive again 1980

Image
Freddie Gorman was born in Detroit in 1939 and in my opinion was one of the best singers of his time. Of course he was a great composer who wrote songs for The Beatles, The Carpenters, Marvin Gaye, The Marvellettes, The Supremes, Diana Ross and others. He was part of the original Holland/Dozier/Gorman writing team and also sang on numerous songs for Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Ruffin, Edwin Starr and many others. He was also a longtime member of the group The Originals.  In 1977 he left the group to pursue a solo career. In 1980 he released a single " Love has seen us through  / Alive again " on Rene Records. As I remember when I heard the song " Love has seen us through " on the forum " soul-source " some years ago, I said oh my god and I started listening to it non stop. Composed by L.Harrington, P.Harrington, Freddie Gorman. Arranged by Hense Powell. Produced by himself. Composed by E.Croom, L.Harrington and Freddie Gorman. Arran
