Jimmy McGriff featuring Yollanda McCullough - Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue 1978

Hello my friends, I'm going to leave for holidays this weekend, so I'm not presenting my broadcast next Sunday on Coni-OnAir. For this reason, I decided to present you a little-known record 45" which was released by legendary organist Jimmy McGriff in 1978. It is worthy to note that this 45" includes the song "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" which was never included in any Jimmy McGriff's album.

I bought it because I noticed that the name of the female singer Yolanda McCullough was on the vinyl's label and that's why I was vey curious to listen to this song. Yolanda McCullough started in the early 70s with some advertising jingles. Later she sang as backing vocalist for the Eddie Floyd's album in 1975. In 1975 recolated from Detroit to New York. She collaborated with many artists like Diana Ross, Ashford & Simpson, Luther Vandross and others. Totally she released three albums from 1979 to 1982. The best album in my opinion is "Watching You Watching Me" in 1982. However today I'm presenting the song "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" which was released in 1978 by the legendary organist Jimmy McGriff. Yolanda or Ullanda McCullough is appeared on vocals. Original recording by Crystal Gayle in 1977.

Note: The above posted single is not played in full.
