William Morgan Bill King is a pianist, composer, publisher and producer. He was born on June 22, 1946 in Jefferson, Indiana, U.S.A. King began his career performing with local community orchestras and big bands in New York, in 1966. He was a member of The Shadows in 1966.  King relocated to Toronto for the first time in 1969, signing a recording contract with Capitol Records. He released two albums over the next few years entitled ‘ Goodbye Superdad ’ and ‘ Dixie Peach ’ in 1973 and 1974 respectively. He returned to Los Angeles in 1976 as Music Director for vocalist Martha Reeves . While on a European tour with Reeves, he was persuaded to join The Pointer Sisters and spent the next year touring Japan and the U.S as their Music Director.  In 1977 he also played piano for the saxophone player Sonny Criss on the album " Joy Of Sax ". Hello my friends, this Sunday I'll be on air on Coni-OnAir with a variety of songs. We will listen to songs from Soul, Old School Soul, Jazz and Jazz Vocals. I will present you some songs from The Controllers, due to the fact that the lead singer of Controllers, Reginald McArthur passed away some days ago. April 19. I will also have the pleasure to present you a great talent of jazz music, the young Matthew Whitaker . He is 17 years old and despite the fact that he was born blind, he started playing the piano at an early age, being only 3 years old.  My broadcast starts from 8pm to 10pm (UTC/GMT+3) (Eastern European Summer Time).
