Lew Kirton


Lew Kirton was born in Barbados where he first sang in his local Anglican choir and in local ensembles where he was known as Jigs Kirton. In 1969 he joined the Sam & Dave Revue as their drummer before becoming a member of The Invitations in 1972 and scoring a hit with "They say the girl's crazy". The Invitations in fact cut a number of Philly flavours for Silver Blue Records in the 70s that today remain extremely collectible. In 1977 he recorded the 12" single only release for which he is best known "Heaven in the afternoon" for Zagora Production and distributed by TK Records.



In 1979 signs as guest artist with Brad Baker. In 1980 "Just Arrived" was released on another TK subsidiary, Alston Records. It was his only album for the label, though while at TK Records. In 1983 Lew moved to New York and recorded a further album "Talk to me" for Believe In A Dream Records through Sony.


I have chosen the track entitled "I Can't Live Without You".



In 1986 the single "Don't wanna wait" became his last release to date. Lew still lives in New York where his newly recorded album awaits a release.

The Muglestons - The Muglestons 1977 Lp

The Muglestons was a five-member family group which appeared in various places with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Pat Henry, Judy Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, Bob Hope and Charlie Rich. It has also appeared on the " Merv Griffin Show ". In addition,  it was possibly one of the first musical groups to perform on Dick Clark's " American Bandstand " without a recording. The group has started singing together since the late 60s. They consisted by the brothers and sister  Bob , Blaine , Troy , Lance and Desiree . In the mid 70s the group signed with the Mike Curb's label, called AOA. In 1977 the group released an album on ECI (Entertainment Consultants International). Sir James Randolph - The Sophisticated Funk of James Randolph 1981 Lp

Sir James Randolph was born in Brewton Alabama. After leaving Alabama, he moved to New York where he attended and graduated from Long Island University. He started to sing in night clubs throughout the city. Then he was involved into Theater, Television & Film. Performing in Las Vegas and around the world, Sir James Randolph has become one of the most celebrated performers. Sir James Randolph made his only Broadway appearance as Sky Masterson in the 1976 all black company of " Guys and Dolls "   along   with   Robert Guillaume as Nathan Detroit,   Norma Donaldson as Miss Adelaide ,  Ernestine Jackson as Sarah Brown." Guys and Dolls " is a musical and was directed and choreographed by Billy Wilson. This production featured Motown-style musical arrangements by Danny Holgate and Horace Ott and direction by Billy Wilson. The show closed on February 13, 1977 after 239 performances and 12 previews.
