  Jazz pianist, three-time Grammy winner, and NEA Jazz Master Ramsey Lewis , who successfully crossed over from the Jazz charts to the Pop charts, most notably with his smash hit “The In Crowd,” died peacefully at his home in Chicago on the morning of September 12. He was 87. I had the opportunity to see him live in Athens at theater stage of Gazarte club in 2016.

Hello my friends, I'm back home. I was on vacation for two weeks. So, I decided to present some vinyls. A few days ago I received a vinyl 45 by Vasti Jackson. His name is pronounced Vast-Eye. He is a renowned guitarist and vocalist from blues music scene. He is a professional musician  for more than forty three years. He is also songwriter, arranger and producer. He has collaborated on Malaco Records with great artists such as Johnnie Taylor, Z.Z.Hill, G.C.Cameron, Denise LaSalle, Latimore and The Williams Brothers. Except for Malaco he collaborated with B.B.King, Dr.John, Wardell Quazargue, Percy Strother, Bobby Rush and many many others. In 2016, he received a Grammy Nomination for his album CD " The Soul Of Jimmie Rodgers ". He has released five solo albums since 1994. This Sunday I will have the great pleasure and honor to present a tribute to the songwriter and composer Walter "Big Walt" Johnson. My friend Walter passed away on April 21st. He was 73 years old. He was the partner of H.B.Barnum for over 40 years. I had the opportunity to discuss and chat with him many times about his music. I will never forget him. Hello my friends, so sad for me, I learned that the composer Walter "Big Walt" Johnson passed away. He was a partner of the great H.B.Barnum for many years. They were written a lot of songs and some of them were loved by the fans of soul music. I had the opportunity to talk with him about their songs. I like listening to their songs. My deepest condolences to his family.
