Vasti Jackson - I’m Still In Love With You / I’m So Glad (We Are Back Together) 45 (Izipho Soul Records)


Hello my friends, I'm back home. I was on vacation for two weeks. So, I decided to present some vinyls. A few days ago I received a vinyl 45 by Vasti Jackson. His name is pronounced Vast-Eye. He is a renowned guitarist and vocalist from blues music scene. He is a professional musician  for more than forty three years. He is also songwriter, arranger and producer. He has collaborated on Malaco Records with great artists such as Johnnie Taylor, Z.Z.Hill, G.C.Cameron, Denise LaSalle, Latimore and The Williams Brothers. Except for Malaco he collaborated with B.B.King, Dr.John, Wardell Quazargue, Percy Strother, Bobby Rush and many many others.

In 2016, he received a Grammy Nomination for his album CD "The Soul Of Jimmie Rodgers". He has released five solo albums since 1994. In 2013 he released an album CD "New Orleans: Rhythm Soul Blues". It includes the song "I'm So Glad (We Are Back Together)".


In August 2022, the Izipho Soul Records from UK released a vinyl record 45 of him which includes two songs. The first "I'm Still In Love With You" that was released as a single in 2015 and the second "I'm So Glad (We Are Back Together)" from the album of 2013 as I have already told you.

The Muglestons was a five-member family group which appeared in various places with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Pat Henry, Judy Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, Bob Hope and Charlie Rich. It has also appeared on the " Merv Griffin Show ". In addition,  it was possibly one of the first musical groups to perform on Dick Clark's " American Bandstand " without a recording. The group has started singing together since the late 60s. They consisted by the brothers and sister  Bob , Blaine , Troy , Lance and Desiree . In the mid 70s the group signed with the Mike Curb's label, called AOA. In 1977 the group released an album on ECI (Entertainment Consultants International). Sir James Randolph was born in Brewton Alabama. After leaving Alabama, he moved to New York where he attended and graduated from Long Island University. He started to sing in night clubs throughout the city. Then he was involved into Theater, Television & Film. Performing in Las Vegas and around the world, Sir James Randolph has become one of the most celebrated performers. Sir James Randolph made his only Broadway appearance as Sky Masterson in the 1976 all black company of " Guys and Dolls "   along   with   Robert Guillaume as Nathan Detroit,   Norma Donaldson as Miss Adelaide ,  Ernestine Jackson as Sarah Brown." Guys and Dolls " is a musical and was directed and choreographed by Billy Wilson. This production featured Motown-style musical arrangements by Danny Holgate and Horace Ott and direction by Billy Wilson. The show closed on February 13, 1977 after 239 performances and 12 previews.
