Donn Thomas - Live Wires 1980 Lp

Donn Thomas was born in 1949. He is a gospel singer, musician, composer and missionary.
He was a frequent performer on several Christian TV shows. Later he appeared singing for the gospel album entitled "Church Triumphant". He has recorded several albums including Live Wires, You Are The One, Psalms Alive, Urban Hope, and Real People.
Thomas collaborated with a producer David Diggs. Thomas had written songs and produced demos, but Diggs elevated the process and secured him a deal with Myrrh Records. Diggs produced Thomas' two Myrrh albums entitled "Live Wires" and "You're the One" in 1980 and 1981 respectively.

Today I'm presenting the album "Live Wires".

The musicians were great. David Diggs on keybords, Paul Jackson Jr. on guitar, Scott Edwards on bass, Ed Greene on drums, Gary Herbig on tenor sax and Dave Boruff on alto sax. Also Jim Coile on tenor sax and flute, Jerry Hey and Charles Davis on trumpets and Bill Reichenbach on trombone. Background vocals by Steve and Denise Hunt, Elisecia Wright, Carol Rogers, Bob Carlisle, Lilian Tynes and Donn Thomas.
I have chosen two tracks entitled "Live Wires" and "Walking With My Father". The first was composed by himself and the second was composed by Charles Williams. Vocals arranged by himself and Steve Hunt.

Donn also is a member of the Promise Keepers worship team, and appears at concerts and religious gatherings including the Promise Keepers and Congress on the Urban Family and speaks before groups worldwide. He and his wife, LaVoughn live in Stone Mountain, Georgia, where he is Senior Pastor of Messiah's House.

Note: The above posted tracks are not played in full
