Wanda Walden - Searchin' for love 1981 Lp



I wouldn't be able not to present this album. As I remember, I bought this album probably in 1995 in Athens. Immediately I recorded on cassette two songs from this album entitled "Searchin for love" and "Wanna love tonite". For some weeks I have been hearing this cassette every day. Outstanding songs.
In fact Wanda Walden was an unknown singer before this album. Most people believe that Wanda is sister of Narada Michael Walden. However, I read somewhere that she's the wife of Narada's brother.
Narada was the producer on the album entitled "Searchin for love" which was released in 1981 on Elektra Records.


Narada Michael Walden on drums and percussion, Randy Jackson on bass, Bob Castell on guitar, Frank Martin on keyboards and synthesizers, Mark Russo all saxophone solos. String arrangements by Michael Gibbs and Frank Martin. Produced and arranged by Narada.

Searchin for love: Music by Narada and lyrics by Narada and Allee Willis. Vocals by Wanda and Narada.



Wanna love you tonite: Music and lyrics by Ronnie Brown.



Wanda Walden after of this album released a single "I must be dreamin" on the same label in 1982. She collaborated with Randy Jackson. Wanda Walden and Randy Jackson wrote this song. Randy was also the producer.

The Muglestons was a five-member family group which appeared in various places with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Pat Henry, Judy Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, Bob Hope and Charlie Rich. It has also appeared on the " Merv Griffin Show ". In addition,  it was possibly one of the first musical groups to perform on Dick Clark's " American Bandstand " without a recording. The group has started singing together since the late 60s. They consisted by the brothers and sister  Bob , Blaine , Troy , Lance and Desiree . Sir James Randolph was born in Brewton Alabama. After leaving Alabama, he moved to New York where he attended and graduated from Long Island University. He started to sing in night clubs throughout the city. Then he was involved into Theater, Television & Film. Performing in Las Vegas and around the world, Sir James Randolph has become one of the most celebrated performers. Sir James Randolph made his only Broadway appearance as Sky Masterson in the 1976 all black company of " Guys and Dolls "   along   with   Robert Guillaume as Nathan Detroit,   Norma Donaldson as Miss Adelaide ,  Ernestine Jackson as Sarah Brown." Guys and Dolls " is a musical and was directed and choreographed by Billy Wilson. This production featured Motown-style musical arrangements by Danny Holgate and Horace Ott and direction by Billy Wilson. The show closed on February 13, 1977 after 239 performances and 12 previews.
