Brainstorm was a 70s funk group from Detroit. They started in 1976 and recorded for Tabu Records. One of their members, Renell Gonsalves , was the son of longtime Ellington sax great Paul Gonsalves. Other members were great vocalist Belita Karen Woods , Charles Overton , Jeryl Bright (was member of the group Cameo and MCB), Larry H. Sims , Gerald Kent , Trenita Womack , E. Lamont Johnson (released an album in 1978 on Tabu records “ Music of the Sun ), and Willie Wooten . They made a good inspirational/message track in 1977, " Wake Up and Be Somebody ," but enjoyed their biggest hit later that year in " Lovin' Is Really My Game ." It reached number 14 on the R&B charts. In 1978 they recorded second album entitled “ Journey to the light ” (#53 on Billboard's R&B albums). Sweet singing David Oliver, the son of Jamaican parents, grew up in Florida. He scored on Mercury Records with "MS," which became a staple on quiet storm radio stations, but never scored another significant hit. Oliver started taking singing seriously when he was a high school student of 15; he sung in the school choir with the sopranos because of his naturally high register. Though born and raised in Florida, Oliver made regular trips to Jamaica to keep in touch with his heritage. He sung with vocal groups throughout high school and college and was inspired by major artists like the Temptations and Smokey Robinson. After college, he joined the Air Force to keep from being drafted by the Army. He stayed five years and was a regular at the service's talent shows. After his tour of duty he moved to Los Angeles in 1967 and joined a racially mixed group called Five Days & Three Nights whose members consisted of other migrants to California; they had a big brassy sound ...

This album is one of the rarest gospel/modern soul albums ever. Until recently it was never seen even on demanding wants lists. Many collectors knew only her 1987 Lp entitled " Island of my mind " on Bouvier records in 1987. Fay Hill born in Los Angeles to Tom Hill and Hedy Hill, former gospel singer. At an early age, Fay sang before many church audiences and people became aware of the rare musical gift that she possessed. Her warm and vibrant voice seemed to capture the audiences and as she grew it has ripened to full bloom. She recorded this album in 1981 on Witness For The Lord Records. The Entertainers led by Mr. Earl Dawkins is a wonderful Soul group from North Carolina. They have recorded ultra rare albums and they have been very successful on the “Beach Music” scene as well. Colors was a little known group from New York. I have never seen album by Colors. I have seen only four singles. The first entitled “ Get on down to the music” on Becket records in 1981. The second “Am I gonna be the one” on First Take records in 1983. The third was “L.O.S.(love on sight)” on Power Light records in 1984. And the last entitled “Pay me back my love” on Prelude records in 1986. You can enjoy the track entitled "L.O.S.(love on sight)". It was released on 7 inch and 12 inch. This album was released in 1985 on Star Vision International Records. It was 4th album by Jimmy Dockett . Jimmy along with Barbara Stroman released wonderful album entitled “ Tender moments ”. Most of the musicians are unknown. AJ Creswell on bass, Michael Hill on guitar, Fred McFarlane and John Ransey on keyboards, Carl Williams on percussion. Background vocals by Kevin Holman , Bernard Jackson and The Persuasions . Lead vocals by Jimmy Dockett and Barbara Stroman. Produced by Jimmy Dockett. Co-produced by Gene Redd . This is the original version of " Skinnydippin " released on 7” single on Manhattan records by Ramona Brooks in 1977. The flip side was entitled “ Rhythm rhapsody ”. Both of these tracks were included on her only album in 1978 on the same label entitled “ Me! ”. Then she released a single in 1980 on Q records entitled “ I don’t want you back ”. She began in 1975 when she recorded for A&M records. A&M records released 7inch entitled “ Leave me / Third Story Landing “. Afterwards she recorded in 1980 for various labels. For Fraternity records she recorded 7 inch entitled “ Skinny dippin / Head start ” ( Skinny dippin first recording by Ramona Brooks). She also recorded for Jamex records “ This is where love begins / Anyway you want ” and “ I'm gonna make you love me ” respectively. I have never seen other record by Lynda Seals.
