Martee Lebous - The lady wants to be a star Lp 1976


Martee Lebous is a singer, pianist and composer from Woodstock, New York. She was born on April 12, in 1957. She recorded an album at Downtown Sound, N.Y.C. It was released on Image Records in 1976 entitled "The lady wants to be a star".
In this album great musicians were appeared such as Will Lee on bass, Jeff Mironov, John Tropea on guitars, Joe Farell on flute, Randy Brecker on trumpet, Michael Brecker, George Young and Lou Marini on sax. Also Barry Miles on synthesizer, Ron Tierno on drums, George Devens on percussion and backing vocals by David Lasley, Arnold McCuller and Lynn Pitney.


Produced and arranged by Charlie Calello. All the songs were composed by herself.

I chose two tracks entitled "For David" and "(How can you lose) something you never had". Solo sax by Michael Brecker on the first track.
