Two songs with the same music



I had the opportunity to present the great artist Jimmy Randolph two times ago in my blog. I have also presented the soul group Sting and the album "Pleasure".
For the first time, I heard the song "You have to lose love (to love love)" of Jimmy Randolph on Paul Collins radio show in England several years ago. Later when I bought the album "Pleasure" of Sting and heard the song "Winning number", it reminded me something. Recently, I heard again the album of Sting and  I finally understood both of these songs have the same music with different lyrics.
I noticed that the label of Jimmy Randolph's vinyl mentions as composer Horrace Ott. However the album of Sting mentions as composers Jay Ellis, Eugene Pitt and Curtis Blandon.
It is worthy to note that Jimmy Randolph's 45" and the album of Sting have the same producer, Jay Ellis.

The Muglestons was a five-member family group which appeared in various places with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Pat Henry, Judy Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, Bob Hope and Charlie Rich. It has also appeared on the " Merv Griffin Show ". In addition,  it was possibly one of the first musical groups to perform on Dick Clark's " American Bandstand " without a recording. The group has started singing together since the late 60s. They consisted by the brothers and sister  Bob , Blaine , Troy , Lance and Desiree . In the mid 70s the group signed with the Mike Curb's label, called AOA. In 1977 the group released an album on ECI (Entertainment Consultants International). Sir James Randolph was born in Brewton Alabama. After leaving Alabama, he moved to New York where he attended and graduated from Long Island University. He started to sing in night clubs throughout the city. Then he was involved into Theater, Television & Film. Performing in Las Vegas and around the world, Sir James Randolph has become one of the most celebrated performers. Sir James Randolph made his only Broadway appearance as Sky Masterson in the 1976 all black company of " Guys and Dolls "   along   with   Robert Guillaume as Nathan Detroit,   Norma Donaldson as Miss Adelaide ,  Ernestine Jackson as Sarah Brown." Guys and Dolls " is a musical and was directed and choreographed by Billy Wilson. This production featured Motown-style musical arrangements by Danny Holgate and Horace Ott and direction by Billy Wilson. The show closed on February 13, 1977 after 239 performances and 12 previews.
