Noel Fleetwood & Rita Van Robinson - Lovin' you comes natural 1983

Image
Noel Fleetwood & Rita Van Robinson are unknown singers without any success. However Noel and Rita released a jazz/soul album in 1983. The album entitled " Lovin'you comes natural " was released on Peach Town Records. It was recorded at Master Sound Studios, Atlanta, Georgia. I want to note that I bought this album a year ago without having heard any sample. I simply followed my feeling. The album was produced under the direction of Bill Freeman . Bill Freeman was also arranger and co-songwriter on the album. I have chosen two tracks entitled " Don't shut me out " and " Hurricane ". Both of these songs were written by Bill Freeman and Deborah Cruse . It is worthy to note that  " Don't shut me out " and " Hurricane " were released as a single in the same year on the same label. Two songs with the same music

Image
I had the opportunity to present the great artist Jimmy Randolph  two times ago in my blog. I have also presented the soul group Sting and the album " Pleasure ". For the first time, I heard the song " You have to lose love (to love love) " of Jimmy Randolph on Paul Collins radio show in England several years ago. Later when I bought the album " Pleasure " of Sting and heard the song " Winning number ", it reminded me something. Recently, I heard again the album of Sting and  I finally understood both of these songs have the same music with different lyrics. I noticed that the label of Jimmy Randolph's vinyl mentions as composer Horrace Ott . However the album of Sting mentions as composers Jay Ellis , Eugene Pitt and Curtis Blandon . It is worthy to note that Jimmy Randolph's 45" and the album of Sting have the same producer, Jay Ellis.  Note: The above posted tracks are not played in ful

Gene Chandler - Please you tonight 1986

Image

I could speak many days for him. However I suggest you to see about him in  wikipedia . Although the song " Please you tonight " is not one of my favorites, it is very nice. In fact this song is the flip-side of " Lucy ". It was released as a single entitled " Lucy / Please you tonight " on FastFire Records in 1986. Both of these songs were included on the album " Your love looks good on me " which was released on the same label a year ago. The song " Please you tonight " was written by Donald Burnside and Gerald Cooper . Produced by Donald Burnside, Gerald Cooper and Gene Chandler. Lynda Seals - This is where love begins

Image
Today I decided to present a great song. Although I presented Lynda Seals two years ago, all the people have to hear and learn the song " This is where love begins ". I think it deserved more recognition and success. Lynda Seals has recorded music as a solo artist and recorded background vocals for other artists such as Johnny Mathis , Helen Reddy , Dalton and Dubarri , Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band (only ' Cherchez la Femme ' and ' I'll Play The Fool '), Ren Woods ('Dorothy' in the road company of 'The Wiz').  Her career began when she was at the age of 16 and she made a featured appearance on the then popular ABC TV show ' Room 222 ' (The episode was called ' Naked Came We Into The World ' - it was the 2nd episode of the first season), She then signed with Talent Associates Records in and recorded " It'll never happen again " and " Angel of the Morning " along with sever

Yes I know. This article is not rare. Everyone can find this song. However, the song " Seaside vibes " by the group Brick ,  I think it is one of the best soul/jazz/funk songs. I always wanted to present this song on my blog. It was included on the 1981 album entitled " Summer Heat " in 1981 on Bang Records. As I remember, I bought this album, between 2002-2003 in Athens. Several years later, I also bought the 12 incher entitled " Sweat (til you get wet) / Seaside vibes ". In fact this album that was the 5th album, is the best of Brick. David Sea - Who's been warmin' my oven 1984 (45)

Image
Two years ago I presented another single entitled " Angel (You're the sunshine )" by David Sea . Today I'm presenting you a lesser known single entitled " Who's been warmin' my oven / Do it right now " which was released on Crown Limited Records in 1984. Both of these songs were produced in Muscle Shoals. Roscoe Robinson helped David Sea as a executive producer. I prefer the song " Who's been warmin' my oven ". The original recording was by Gable Reed and was released in 1970 on vinyl 45. David Sea also covered a tune of Roscoe Robinson entitled " Do it right now ". This song was written by Robinson and he had released it in the mid 60s which reached  #40 on the R&B charts in 1967. Note: The above posted single is not played in full
