Yuji Ohno & His Project - Theme from "proof of the man" 1977 (Instrumental)



Yuji Ohno is a japanese jazz musician. Ohno has composed great music for films and television series. He became known with the Japanese anime television series "Lupin III" specifically the 1977 series. At that time he released an album under the name Yuji Ohno & His Project  entitled "Proof of the man" on Atlantic Records in Japan. 
At the same time "Proof of the man" was released as a single on the same label.


I have chosen the instrumental version and not the vocal version because the instrumental version has a great sax tune. It was recorded at Sound City Studio & Mouri Studio in the late of June 1977. Arranged by Yuji Ohno and produced by Yuji Ohno and Ikuzo Orita. 


It was written by Yuji Ohno. Solo sax by Jake Conception from Philippines.

The Muglestons was a five-member family group which appeared in various places with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Pat Henry, Judy Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, Bob Hope and Charlie Rich. It has also appeared on the " Merv Griffin Show ". In addition,  it was possibly one of the first musical groups to perform on Dick Clark's " American Bandstand " without a recording. The group has started singing together since the late 60s. They consisted by the brothers and sister  Bob , Blaine , Troy , Lance and Desiree . In the mid 70s the group signed with the Mike Curb's label, called AOA. In 1977 the group released an album on ECI (Entertainment Consultants International). Sir James Randolph was born in Brewton Alabama. After leaving Alabama, he moved to New York where he attended and graduated from Long Island University. He started to sing in night clubs throughout the city. Then he was involved into Theater, Television & Film. Performing in Las Vegas and around the world, Sir James Randolph has become one of the most celebrated performers. Sir James Randolph made his only Broadway appearance as Sky Masterson in the 1976 all black company of " Guys and Dolls "   along   with   Robert Guillaume as Nathan Detroit,   Norma Donaldson as Miss Adelaide ,  Ernestine Jackson as Sarah Brown." Guys and Dolls " is a musical and was directed and choreographed by Billy Wilson. This production featured Motown-style musical arrangements by Danny Holgate and Horace Ott and direction by Billy Wilson. The show closed on February 13, 1977 after 239 performances and 12 previews.
