Hello my friends. I had the opportunity to play on my shows, a 45 by the Australian singer and composer Jeff Phillips. This 45 includes the song " Rock Me Slowly ". In fact, I knew this song many years ago. In 2011, I had presented an article about the Hawaiian singer Loyal Garner . She has released an album in the early 80s. This album includes my favorite song " Love Me Slowly ". It is the same song than "Rock Me Slowly".  There is a story behind it.            In 1978, after the release of " Rock Me Slowly " by Jeff Phillips, Diana Ross expressed her interest in order to record this song. They arranged a meet in L.Angeles but Jeff until to arrive in L.A., Diana left the Motown and moved to go to RCA Records. Although Diana Ross didn't record that song,  the Hawaiian singer  Yvonne Elliman  recorded it a year later in 1979. It was included on the album " Yvonne " under the title "Rock Me Slowly". Hello my friends, I want to mention a story. In 2017 I had the opportunity to play on my show the fantastic and unreleased song " All My Life " by Steven Willoughby. He is a singer, songwriter, and music publisher. He has recorded different styles and moods of music. Soul, country, pop and blues. He is currently working in alliance with the Westwood Music group. His song “ All My Life ” was featured in the Fox Searchlight movie “ Battle of the Sexes ” (Emma Stone and Steve Carell) in 2017. I remember that a friend of mine, Nicolas Drosos brought to my attention this masterpiece during 2017. Two years later, in 2019 Izipho Soul Records released this masterpiece on vinyl 45.  This release includes this gem " All My Life ". It also includes a mix by Phillip Ward from the UK as a long version of it. Phillip Ward did a great job. Hello my friends, I want to share with you a story about the song " Different Kinda Different ". I loved this song when I found the album of Johnny Mathis which was released in 1980. I bought it in the late 90s. The song was written by Pamela Sawyer and Marilyn McLeod who wrote the smash hit " Love Hangover ". At that time in the late 90s, you can't find any information in the web about the album. Maybe one of the reasons was that the album was released in UK with a different title as " All For You ".  There weren't also any information about the female singer along with Johnny Mathis. Simply, the name Paulette is mentioned on the vinyl. As far as I know I was trying to find information concerning who the female singer with the name Paulette was. Finally I found it many years later and she was Paulette McWilliams.  In 2016 as I was searching for music, I found digital music on a website. Hello my friends, a few months ago, during December 2022, as I was searching for vinyl records in Japan, I found the album Positive Force featuring Leslie Page . This album includes some unreleased songs which were recorded in 1985. It was released on vinyl and CD respectively. Positive Force is the same group that released an album in 1983 entitled Positive Force featuring Denise Vallin. At that time the group consisted of the guitarist Steve Russell, the saxophonist and flutist Bill Liston and the keyboardist Larry Kester.Vocalist was Denise Vallin. Leslie Page is a singer/songwriter and resident of Southern California. She has shared the stage with great artists such as Joe Walsh, Ringo Starr, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Billy Gibbons, Rick Springfield, Zack Brown Band, Gary Clark Jr, Hunter Hayes, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Peaches and Herb, Richard Marx and many more. Hello my friends, some weeks ago I had the chance to play a rare vinyl 45 on my show. I'm talking to you about a 45 of Roy Ally . Roy Ally is an unknown singer probably from Canada. There are no information about him. This obscure 45 includes two songs. On the A side excists the song " Love (You've Been Good To Me) ". On the other side excists the song " Love Fire Burns ". Both songs were written by Roy Ally himself. The record was released in 1977 on Periwinkle Records. Owner on that label was Art Snider who was arranger and producer with Roy Ally on both songs. The label Periwinkle was formed in 1973 as a flagship label for his Sound Canada Recording Centre studio. A few words about Art Snider or Arthur Sniderman. He was a pianist, arranger, and producer from Ottawa, Canada. He established and operated Çhateau Records from 1956 to 1961. He later established and 1967-81 operated Sound Canada.
