Marlon (The Magician) McClain

Marlon McClain was an original member of Pleasure. Marlon was the Band's acknowledged leader. He was a great guitarist (electric and acoustic guitar). He collaborated with keyboardist Jeff Lorber (Co-produce Jeff Lorber's album entitled "Soft space"in 1978). Marlon and Jeff had been known one another since 1972. Marlon recorded one and only album, released on Fantasy records in 1981. Horns arranged by Jerry Hey (was member of Seawind). Produced by Marlon McClain and Phil Kaffel. I chose two tracks entitled "Star of my life" and "Pastel".

Also he collaborated with funk group called "Shock" as co-producer, guitarist and background vocalist. Also he played for many artists of Pop/Rock in 80s. In 1985 guitarist Eric Fearman left from the group Dazz Band and was replaced by Marlon McClain.

In 1994, Marlon joined forces with Jeff Lorber and bassist Nathaniel Phillips (was an original member of Pleasure) . They formed the jazz band, called "Shades Of Soul".
