Willie Bobo - Hell of an Act to Follow 1978

Born William Correa, 28 February 1934, New York City, New York. Perhaps the best-known Latin jazz percussionist of the 1960s, Bobo was one of the key players who fused influences from Latin soul, rock, and jazz in the late 1960s and 1970s. In 1978 on Columbia records he recorded a great album entitled "Hell of an Act to Follow". In album participated Bobby Lyle on keyboards, Donny Beck on bass, Steven Guiterrez on drums, Roland Bautista on guitar. Oscar Brashear and Ronald King on trumpet and flugelhorn, Ernie Watts and Gary Herbig on saxophone and flute, Thurman Green on trombone. Lead vocal by Willie Bobo. Horn arrangements by Bobby Lyle. String arrangements by George Del Barrio. Produced by Wayne Henderson. I chose two tracks entitled "Keep That Same Old Feeling" (first recording by The Crusaders) and "Fairy Tales For Two".

Sadly Willie Bobo died in 1983 from cancer.

Note: The above posted tracks are not played in full
